FIXED: Auto-connect when aMSN starts- not working

Hello,

I am using aMSN SVN version on mac osx 10.5.8.
I've always had aMSN automatically sign me in when I launch the app. On the login page I have the box ticked for "Auto-connect when aMSN starts", "Remember my account" and the "Remember password" boxes. I also have ticked under the Session tab in Preferences "Sign in automatically when aMSN is launched".
However for the past 2 days it no longer auto-connects me. The login page shows the "User" drop down field as blank and every other field. I have to click the drop down menu and select my email address, then the password appears and then click sign-in.

Any advice on this issue?

You could try to rename your profile folder, and start all over. I mean, exit amsn, rename your profile folder, start amsn and write again your email/pass. Click on auto-login and see what it happens. Could be a profile bug.

Thanks for your reply.

I've just tried that renaming and it hasn't changed, still the same problem.
I also went to preferences and deleted my profile that way and restarted, and re-added my profile and again the same.
Then I went to my library and deleted my profile folder itself, then re-added it again through the login screen on msn and nothing.

Any other suggestions?

Could you go to Account > Preferences > Session and check if "Connect when amsn starts" is checked?

Yes this box is checked, however it's called "Sign in automatically when aMSN is launched". The "Reconnect on loss" is also checked.

I have also added a second msn account to the program and it won't sign in automatically on the second profile either.

Ok, I completely removed amsn, and then installed the latest update 0.98.3 and my autoconnect is working again thanks for your efforts!
