So, last week, I accepted a network invitation from a friend on windows live (which I had never touched through my computer...just through xbox). The windows live page requested me to insert my name and last name. I did. From that point on, every time I logged in, my screen name would change to my name. It took me a few days to notice it was the cause (after some friends started telling me that there was something displaying below my name: Joined person's network - 1 day ago). I went to Windows live to check if I could fix it. NO, THERE IS NO WAY TO DELETE YOUR NAME ONCE YOU HAVE PUT IT. I noticed then that if I ever wanted to change my screen name, I would have to go back to that annoying page every time. I decided that was not gonna happen. I tried every way to separate my msn account from my windows live account, like it was before. There isn't a way besides deleting one of the two. So, I decided to tell my windows live account that I was changing my e-mail. I changed it to my other email, thinking I was free. Apparently, my msn account was completely deleted and with it, I was deleted from everyone of my contact's contact lists. Luckily the history and properties were saved and remained when I started adding people again. But when I added them, they did not get a request to add me. I now sent a mass e-mail telling everyone to add me back. The current problem is:when they add me back and I accept them, the symbol beside everyone that does not have me in his/her contact list disappears and reappears after some minutes. Now I don't know the difference between the ones that have re-added me and the ones that haven't. Plus: some people are telling me that they already added me, but I won't receive a request, no matter how many times they add me. Also, for some reason, two contacts have remained without the "not in his/her contact list" icon.
I just want my contact list to look like it was before and to know that everyone has me in their contact list again, while leaving my contact history and properties untouched. I know there is a long and annoying way of doing this...(asking every single person). Is there any other way? Is there a way to create another msn account and migrate my contact properties and history to it...adding everyone on that account would fix everything.
I know there might be different ways to solve this. Any help on any of the issues is appreciated.
