Unable to make video calls with 0.98.1

Hi,

I've seen a few posts regarding video calls on aMSN but none seemed to be specific to the problem I am having.

I installed aMSN on my Samsung NC10 as WLM seems to be too resource hungry - it causes the received audio to become choppy.  I was hoping that aMSN would be the solution as it is far more lightweight.  However, when I tried a call to my brother who had WLM, when he accepted my video call, it just said something about waiting for something to load.  If he called me, I would get a notification that he's calling, I accept and then several seconds later, aMSN hangs up the call.

Using WLM on both sides, we were able to make a video call.

I'm using v0.98.1.  Is there something else I need to tweak in order for aMSN to work with video calls?  Writing messages to him / to me worked perfectly but I'd really like to get the video capability to work!  (aMSN detects my webcam as a Namuga webcam).

My apologies if I missed an obvious thread on this - I looked through quite a few already...

i have the same problem (and the same laptop)
i have found a workaround that works...all in pieces...that is:
you send a request to see his cam (accept), then you send the request to show your cam (accept), then you call him (only audio)
try and tell if it works also for you
