I am using sMSN 0.98.1 on my macbook, each time i sign and did not touch the laptop for a minute my account goes offline and my nick name changed by it self to my email address name !
Also it is not possible to change the language using cmd+space when chatting using aMSN, I have to change the language manually from the toolbar or I have to change the screen and press cmd+space !

Hi, welcome to the forums, if amsn gets disconnected, it probably means that you lost your connection, you may have internet issues and you need to fix it from your side (or your internet service provider has). about the nickname change to email, search the forums. About the language, I don't know what you mean, isn't command-space for opening spotlight? also, you need to restart amsn after changing the language, and I don't think you change the language every day, so change it once and that's it, what are you complaining about ?

thanks for your replay
ok, let me explain it more, i set my nickname in aMSN as XXXX, if i logout and sign in again my nickname will change to my email address name ( the resisted name in my email account profile )
the second part is about the language, Ia using two languages everyday and i know to change the language CMD+space but in sMSN if I press cmd+space the language wont change, I have to change manually, sometimes I am chatting with a friend using aMSN and writing in English, if I want to write in Arabic, for example, and press cmd+space the language wont change
cmd+space works fine in other application, but doesn't work in aMSN !!!
Thanks again

about the nickname problem, I told you, search the forums, I've answered this about 50 times in the last 2 days, so search the forums, cause I don't want to repeat myself.
about the language issue, ok, now I understand. I thought you were talking about changing amsn's language, not the keyboard language. anyways, the command-space issue cannot be fixed by aMSN unfortunately. We use tcl/tk language for developing amsn, and it seems like tcl/tk doesn't support that binding correctly, maybe it's because it's using the Carbon framework instead of the Cocoa framework. Anyways, if you don't understand, don't worry, the short answer is : sorry, we can do absolutely nothing about it. The problem isn't from aMSN it's from what aMSN uses for drawing the windows, etc..

I think you could try the Cocoa aMSN version, it uses a new Tcl/Tk (the thing aMSN uses to draw windows) that supports Cocoa and it may work. The problem is that this new version of Tcl/Tk is beta and still very buggy. It work well on some computers and doesn't even launch on others. Anyway, search the forums for a link and update it to the latest SVN.
