I'm asking because I want to do a clean install of aMSN, maybe then the performance problems are solved.

0.98.1 has been released already, and the source packages are available to download on sourceforge.net however, we have not had time yet to create the windows and mac installers, so once the binary installers are done and uploaded, it will be announced on the main page and the download links updated. Be patient please!

When 0.98.1 is officially released with installers for Linux, Mac, and Windows and announced on the front page will the people who are using aMSN 0.97.2 be notified that there is an update to aMSN when they login?

Compile it or wait Smiley

I think the simple "when will it be ready" thread turned into "here's the list of all impatient people on the forums", you guys just wait, be patient, and stop nagging us every 5 minutes!

aMSN 0.98.1 is released!

Hi everyone!

It's been over a year since the release of 0.97.2, and "good things come to those who wait": audio conference, video conference, chat while appearing offline, full ink (handwriting) support, MSN games support (only tic-tac-toe for now), a new protocol version, and of course, your favorite bugfixes!

For those of you who happened to discover 0.98 on third-party sites and wonder where it went, this release was tagged and packed but never officially made public. 0.98.1 contains a lot of important fixes so update now!

We are also proud to announce that the Maemo 5 platform (Nokia's N900) is now supported.

Visit our downloads page now!

Thanks Cheesy
