@BW: thanks to made transparency better, but i think your new screenshots looks like a nokia advertisement Smiley
@kakaroto: 1- you have a mistake: only untranslated sql part is taken from English. So we can work to take English definitions either
2- you are right, sorry for that
And the other thing is why we dont use screenshots script for maemo pictures?

Hey,
@Bw, oh, sorry, I didn't see your post, you posted at the same time as me.. those screenshots are AWESOME! I wanted something like that, but didn't think someone could do it! Smiley
anyways, I'm not really sure if we should use them, the images become low quality because the resolution has to go down (because the website's width is fixed), and I want people to see how the screenshots really look.. But I'd definitely put one of those at the top instead of the download-maemo.png! I like the one with the device facing right, if you could do it with the contact list screenshot that would be awesome!

@sabit_ertan: ouch, you were right, I thought it was done for the php files too! anyways, I've now fixed it so english is taken by default, thanks for noticing!
About screenshots page, we probably should and probably wil... eventually.. I was just lazy, and I want to get this done as soon as possible!

Hi kakaroto,

my idea was to click on them to get the normal screenshot, but anyway
the contact list gets really small with the one were the device is facing right and
I don't like the censored email on the contact list, so maybe it's not the
ideal replacement for download-maemo.png like this.

Can you set the font size there easily? Otherwise I'll just try and fix it with gimp

After I've made these images, I thought about the legal issues using the pictures
from nokia like this; don't want that you guys get in trouble...

Shall we ask them or do you think it's the best to let sleeping dogs lie

Humm.. we could probably ask them, I don't think they'd say no, but I they still might.. I guess we should just keep it as it is right now, and ask them, if they answer ok, then we'll try something out.
thanks

I've written them a general request about that, without mentioning anything about the project
just to see what they say about it

That's cool, you finally did it! I could add an Italian translation too. Is there a little website translation howto such as "go here, download php source, send the file to johndoe"?

Yep, I think Italian is too important. Italia has a lot of users Smiley. So, if you want to start now, go to http://amsn.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/amsn/trunk/www/includes/languages/, download the "en" english folder. Save it as "it" (for Italian I think) and translate the two files.
Remember to change the tags <lang>en</lang> to <lang>it</lang> Tongue.
Then send the files (in the folder "it"), to the email for translations (see http://www.amsn-project.net/translations.php).

Good luck Cheesy

hey, the new website is up! and 0.98.1 is made official.. the new news items need to be translated too. (a new poll will be added soon too).
the amsn_translations.xml is not yet updated with the latest news items, I guess we need to write a script that dumps the database for a translation language...

Thank you for sparing me some time browsing this topic! Tongue I'll begin working on it soon. I heard many Italians are switching to aMSN 0.98.1 from Emesene, but it still has a lot of users. Somehow, they believe Emesene and aMSN will merge in a single software in the future... but that's another story!

Congratulations! Cheesy More than one year has passed since last update. The upgraded layout is great, too.
So, maybe I should be waiting for an update to amsn_translations.xml before translating.

Hi guys,

for German and Spanish (de & es) the preview of the screenshots on screenshots.php won't appear, and the link shows this:
Code:
