Hi, im experiencing a really weird thing, im using Kubuntu 8.04 and the latest aMSN, i also use Virtual box to run #$indows. A few minutes ago i logged off my msn account and left all aMSN chat windows open and logged in my msn in #$indows. All good... just got really surprised when i started to receive normal msgs from my buds in the aMSN chat boxes i just logged off, i replied some of the msgs to check if it was some kind of lag, but msgs kept coming lmao!! So i am with aMSN completely offline with chat boxes open, M$ msn open running on VBox, and chatting using both the programs with the same msn account... any ideas?

cheers  Cheesy

That's normal. Conversations are not closed until you or your contact close them.

hehe, some people get surprised at this, but it's actually one of the many features of aMSN.. you can be offline but continue chatting. conversations are closed (and then you can't chat) if the other user or you closes the window, or if a timeout of 5 minutes expired (between 2 amsns) or a timeout of 1 minute expires (with a WLM user). That's one of the reasons behind the "X joins conversation' and "X leaves conversation" and "conversation closed due to inactivity" messages you see in the chat windows...
