I have the same problem with the lastest SVN version on Windows XP...
I tried with Emesene (a other MSN client) and it says a "error 911"... I find this about error 911 on MSN : http://www.hypothetic.org/docs/msn/reference/error_list.php#911
Also, I can connect with WLM (because I have Windows at work) but I don't if I can connect this evening on my Gentoo with aMSN :?

I'm getting the same error and behaviour.. as a matter of fact, i was about to publish the status log myself when i saw this post.

I'm getting it since some hours ago.

The strange issue is that pidgin connectsfine.

I guess something is changed in the servers, that has to do with something amsn implements but pidgin does not (msnp15/roaming etc..)

edit: Using msnp11, amsn connects fine.

Yes, i noticed that Kopete connected fine some hours ago.
But i want to use MSNP15 and not to use MSNP11...so i hope that someone could fix this error.
I guess too that something changed on the servers, i'm getting this error since yesterday.

I'm not having this issue, so can't test this fix. However, it might be similar to an issue that was in emesene recently. Try this: Close aMSN, and then in addressbook.tcl, find:

Well, not much in the diff.

The 2 SOAP requests just gave PassportAuthFail before, now they are ok.

Wow, such a long thread in such a short time.. I guess we have some MSN addicts here :p can't live without your connection, huh? :p

Anyways, yes, I'm guessing it was a server issue.. it refused your security token while you just received it from the authentication server.. in other words, the address book server was f*cked.. DX (from the emesene team) reported to me yesterday that he got disconnected from the server with a message telling him to reconnect in 6 minutes because of maintainance... 30 minutes later, he could reconnect.. I'm guessing the server maintainance is slowly affecting one server/user at a time.. just all be patient!!!!
And yes, MSNP11 would work since it's not using the address book SOAP server.

The error started again today. Cannot login using msnp15, the same PassportAuthFail response to the soap requests.

BUT i cannot connect using msnp11 too. Wrong username/password this time.

Looking into it further..

I've this problem too.
when i try to login with amsn-svn it gets me the window with "internal server error".
i also tried with WLM in windows and i login regularly :p

i tried also to use older versions of amsn-svn but i have always the same problem :|

there is a way in order to resolve it?
