anyways, yes, I was rude, but it was all in a humorous way, I'm sure you noticed that., what I said is still true, and I still beleive what I said, you could ask more politely for the user to give you the credits (even if it starts bothering you to ask every time, he doesn't know you've yelled at 10 other people for the same simple reason, but he deserves a little yelling for not reading the readme/following the common sense).
telling him he needs your permission to use "Saphire" in his skin name, I still beleive it's ridiculous, maybe you were joking, but it didn't sound like it.
sorry if you "dislike my attitude", I didn't mean to hurt you, I thought you would just find my post funny. Guess I was wrong.
You are fair, I didn't say you weren't, I understand the effort it took you for this skin, and I compleeeettely understand that you're tired of repeating everytime that they HAVE TO give you the credits. And no, I won't read the GPL license, because I don't care about licenses (and you don't care if I don't care, but I don't care that you don't care if I don't care :p lol)., and noone needs to read the GPL license, it's common sense, it's being logical, it's being polite and respectful for your work, no matter what the license says, your name should be there and that's it!
But back to fairness.. what you say IS fair, but it is ALSO rude, there are multiple ways to ask for it... the way you asked him to add your name, that's no problem, it wasn't "nice", but it's not important, I mean you're tired of repeating yourself, I understand, and you know I understand! but when I was saying rude, I was talking mainly about this one sentence :
Why would you not spent some time too in doing it in the right way?.... It is so hard?.......... damn.
Seriously, your post had two parts, the first part about the 'copyright', it was rude, but it was fair, and you didn't need to be less rude because you're being fair. Then the last part (the line I just quoted), and that's the part that I found really rude and not fair.
this is a real turn down, you put some effort, you wait for someone to encourage you, to tell you what he thinks and this is what he says.. it's really really rude in my opinion. Vivia thinks I was more rude than you, but hey, at least I said : " I don't like your skin either, I think the green hurts the eye, it's not really 'warm', it's a bit too agressive I think.. but still, good effort at trying to make a skin to fit your tastes! Keep it up! " which is still nicer.. at least it was encouranging someone's work even if I don't like it.
I was rude to you.. but hey, you're in my contact list, you're 409 posts now, you're a super power user, you're almost part of the family, I can talk to you like that, we both know there are no hard feelings, but focus_water is just 19 posts, I doubt you added him to your msn, you're not friends, so your sentence was more rude than everything i said.
Now to finish this up because I'm tired of all this crap (can't someone fucking yell at someone else without having to explain himself afterwards!!! :p). Your last post was 100% ok for me, it was not polite and it did not need to be. you said add my name, you even said please, or do the work from scratch, it was good. it even had 'please' which is not mandatory in my opinion since you have the right to be pissed.
Finally, I know how to treat a user, I'm sometimes rude, and I accept it, I apologize usually, sometimes I'm rude because the user pisses me off but I'm being fair too (like you in the first part of your post, but not like the second part). And I think there's "treat the users" and "treat the friends", I considered you a friend, so I didn't think I needed to sugarcoat everything.. (you even said "kakaroto, shhhh", it's clear we're joking between us).
Anyways, now vivia is right, this has become threat pollution.. which pisses me off!

EDIT: Vivia just told me that your sentence (the one quoted above) maybe was about "doing the right thing" == the credits/licensing... now I re-read it, and it does make sense, so I guess it was a misunderstanding, maybe you did say "do it the right way, it's not hard, damn" about "give credits to me, it's not hard", etc... but the way I read it so far was that you were talking about his actualy work, I mean the pixmaps, etc... that you were saying that his skills sucked, that he didn't do the job of modifying the pixmaps correctly, that it's not hard to make pixmaps and 'damn' about his work, not about the licensing... so now if you re-read my post putting in mind that this is what I understood, maybe you'll understand more why I said you were rude. If vivia is right (it does make sense), and you were talking about the licensing, then sorry, it was just a big misunderstanding, and now I understand why vivia said your post was not rude, and I have to say sorry, she's right, if you were talking about licensing from the start to the end, then yes, you were being fair, rude, but fair, and I shouldn't have "attacked" you this way.
