Hey guys, just in-case there are any Facebook users on here, I've just started an aMSN group over on the facebook.

Please help me make it grow, there are about 300 users in each of the gaim (pidgin) & adium user groups. Surely aMSN can do better than that!

Hehe, thanks Smiley

Hey,
Great idea! I just joined.

I think this is also my first post (not a huge fan of forums).
amsn is the best MSN alternative, I just wish it used Java or something so I could contribute to it. I had never heared of tcl/tk before reading these forums.

Hey, after getting through Tcl's slightly odd syntax, you can code in it easily! I advise reading this small page of ours: http://amsn-project.net/wiki/Dev:TclTk_Tutorial, and also you may find reading through plugins may help to immerse you in the world of Tcl/aMSN code.

If you want to code in Tcl/Tk, I'd advise you keep these pages bookmarked: http://www.tcl.tk/man/tcl8.4/TclCmd/contents.htm & http://www.tcl.tk/man/tcl8.4/TkCmd/contents.htm. And also http://wiki.tcl.tk/ is very useful, it has lots of code examples.

PS. I don't think anyone who is working on aMSN knew Tcl/Tk before working with aMSN!

Ok ok, before you kill me... I'll never mention mercury again here on this forum... sorry, I'm really new here: I've just read that you guys hate mercury and its crew!   And maybe you have also some good reasons for (stealing ideas and not giving help is not fair)!

About tcl: aMSN is your program, so yours is the decision about!   There are for sure more skilled programmers (in general) than me helping you!
