Hello,

I'm running amsn(0.95) on windows XP os and its great Cheesy
I just have a question i've got all the ports closed on my router except for the ones i want open, i opened port ***2 and routed it back to this computer.
the problem is amsn after i had 1 file transfer with amsn the next time i try to do a file transfer it wil try port ***3 because of the " starting port for file transfer" options. Is there a way to solve this problem because i hate opening other ports that i dont need SmileyCheesy

Greetings Nic

You probably need a range of ports because some ports take a while before they close and if the transfer failed, the port might stay open... but usually, as long as you have only one transfer at a time, it shouldn't cause any problems.
