FireWire Camcorder :: AVC device

I am trying to use my camcorder as a webcam. it works under Gnomemeeting using the libpt-plugins-avc package. Is there a way to use that package with amsn? Or a way to link the avc plugin into v4l?

Hi,
I have no idea what that plugin is or how to plug it into v4l.. you should google for this or ask in a different forum, we're the amsn team, not the v4l team nor the avc team... all we can say is that webcam should work with all v4l and v4l2 webcams.

OK, thanks, I will do that. I have found some mention of a vloopback device. It seems that it may allow one to feed a firewire stream into Video4Linux....
